Noticing a variety of themes in her husband's poems, Bernice Hanson decided to weave some of Allen's poems together in a meaningful way. The result was this book, "A Story of a Poet."
Allen and his grandson would like to make up words together when his grandson was little. Having an eye for detail, and an ear for country-western, blues, and Christian music, Allen's creativity was fostered. But he never expected to write a poem. Bernice and Allen share a common faith, and believe God knows just what we need.
Allen writes from the heart. He is happy if one person is touched by a poem.
