After being dumped, Annie Beasley moves to New York City to create a new life for herself. When her sister gets engaged to her ex-boyfriend's brother and decides on a Christmas wedding, Annie knows she can't avoid her ex forever. Oliver Chesterfield has been in New York for a year and although he misses England, he's determined to make his mark without using any family connections. The only glitch was a disastrous blind date with Annie, an experience he'd care not to repeat. But when he realizes he needs a date for his company Christmas party to impress his boss, it's Annie who comes to the rescue. But not without conditions of her own. And before he knows it, Oliver has agreed to be Annie's date for her sister's wedding.
