Who knew the gods would hold a grudge?
Lil has been blessed (or cursed) with the ability to see the spirits that influence mortals. Minions of the ancient gods, these demons whisper dark desires and righteous indignation into the susceptible ears of their human prey. Lil stands in their way.
Refusing to be bound into the service of the gods, Lil thought she had freed herself from their manipulations. The gods aren't so easily dispelled.
Shadow demons attack. Lil's boyfriend gets caught in the crossfire. A strange woman arrives, demanding Lil join her coven, insisting it's the only way to save him.
Lil will do anything to bring him home. Even if it means consorting with witches, playing drinking games with Bacchus, and staring down the god of chaos and destruction himself.
That snake doesn't stand a chance . . . right?
