Intersound/Light Records' SONGS OF HOPE AND INSPIRATION collects a handful of contemporary gospel tracks that draw from the works of both the old guard (Shirley Caesar, Bishop Albert Jamison, Commissioned) and the new (Youthful Praise, Paul Porter, Bishop Paul Morton). At ten tracks it's hardly representative of the genre, but it serves as a decent starting point for praise & worship enthusiasts looking to penetrate the increasingly crowded world of modern inspirational music.
