Everett Addams, a stubborn artist who refuses to let anyone in, can't stand the way Roy is always frowning at her, pointing out her flaws, and getting whatever he wants, but what bothers her the most is how attractive he is. This intense academic rivalry between them is hard enough to bear before she found out about her friend's ongoing bet that Roy and her would hook up before the end of the summer. She's shocked when Roy joins the bet, convinced that they will get together before graduation, and when he wins, she will have to make a public announcement, admitting that he is smarter than her (aka her worst nightmare.)
