Civil War photographer Robert McEntee and his brother, Dr. Andrew McEntee race to uncover the plot to assassinate Abraham Lincoln. When John Wilkes Booth uses the horse of Rob's prospective father-in-law, James Pumphrey, to escape they must prove the liveryman was not an accomplice -- and find themselves drawn deeper and deeper into the conspiracy which claimed the life of the president.
