After a nighttime attack at the Institute of Public Health, the police discover that vaccines have been stolen and the office of Quina Larrea, the head of epidemiology, has been ransacked. While Quina investigates the death of a young man to rule out an infectious disease believed to have been eradicated, Detective Lysander tries to find out who was behind the attack. Unexpectedly, Quina's life falls apart. Her job and relationship are in danger, and she can only count on Alex, a new epidemiologist, for assistance.
