After October changes Christmas plans, Ashley believes she's stuck in Shadowfall for what will be a boring holiday. But, when a small girl asks for Ashley's help locating her missing mother, the holiday becomes anything but prosaic. What should be a simple missing person case becomes a Byzantine maze of lies and larceny. It soon becomes apparent Ashley isn't the only one seeking the girl's mother. What is also clear is Ashley's rivals will not stop at a murder or two.
