Director Julien Faraut compiles archival footage of John McEnroe from when he competed in the 1984 French Open to profile the left-handed tennis legend. Editing together on-court action with vintage interviews and commentary as well as narration by Mathieu Amalric, Faraut examines McEnroe's athleticism, anger issues and alluring public image along with the impact he left on the sport.
