History is a story and it is a story of people's lives. We would have no story ourselves unless others had theirs before us. This is the story of a people, the Acadians/Cajuns who went through exile and genocide to come through as people who love life, family, and their faith. It is a story of endurance through the worse of life to make the best of life with joy in living as told through the personal experience of Elizabeth Champagne who has been a part of their story in Louisiana; Nova Scotia, Canada; and France.
