THE AMERICAN CLAIMANT is a less-known, but brilliantly satirical novel, which ranks behind THE ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN and PUDDIN'HEAD WILSON, but is still of major interest, as anything by Mark Twain does.
