Book 3 is narrated by Calhoun, the loudest, strongest, and most lyrical member of the Splendid Saba. Despite having super strength, Calhoun tends to feel like the weakest member of his superhero family because of his battle with sickle cell. After learning of his brother, Bradley's, new ability to shoot bullets, Cal hopes that he could potentially be healed of his sickle cell for good. As his family embarks on the gang and gun violence mission without their mother, Cal and his twin brother, Wil, grow closer to their big brother, Bradley, after he protects them from a brutal police encounter.
