Too Brief a Candle is a True Crime book about a one-year-old child whose death was caused by abuse in a home day care. This tragedy occurred in Pinellas County, Florida, in 2008, but it took four years to go to trial. The entire trial, as well as the events leading up to it, are covered in the book. The child's family was well known to the author.
