This book provides a guide for casual hikers to over 100 waterfalls in the Western NC area. The book is divided into sections including Pisgah Forest District, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cashiers and Highland areas, and miscellaneous falls around the Brevard area. Additionally, some falls in South Carolina are listed. Included in the book are color photographs of the falls and a description of the trails leading to the various falls. The author lives in Hendersonville, NC and has shared her knowledge of the falls and arranged them in sections where any visitor to the area can see several falls in a limited amount of time. The hikes range from roadside views up to 5 mile hikes and are intended for the casual hiker. The majority of the hikes are less than 2 miles roundtrip.
